As the sun rises and the crowd gathers, a sense of nostalgia fills the air. The Senior Sunrise is a long-standing tradition, meant to symbolize the beginning of the final year of high school. And today, it’s the Class of 2026’s turn.
Students shuffle in tiredly at six in the morning, long before the sun rises, holding coffees, pastries, cameras, and prayer mats. Slowly, they line up for the congregation on the soccer field to pray a memorable Fajr salah. Class President Alaa Tegeldin was one of the students who could be seen setting up activities and tables. When asked what her favorite part of the sunrise was, she replied, “Just seeing everyone happy eating, taking pictures together, and having fun!”
As the food finishes and the sun rises over the horizon, the Academy’s seniors line up for a class photo in front of the beautiful view. Counselor Ms. Sonya Badr and High School Principal Dr. Leila Kayed joined in on the celebrations, supporting their senior class.

This event marks the beginning of a great journey ahead for our new senior class, setting them up for a year of success and happiness! We pray that Allah grants them all prosperity this year, and we look forward to seeing more of the many exciting senior events to come!
